Are you still doing what you set out to do?
Mission drift happens slowly. A funding opportunity comes up that does not quite fit, but the money is needed. A partner asks you to deliver something outside your lane. You say yes. Then yes again. Six months later you are running projects your governing document never mentioned, and the work you were set up to do is underfunded or gone.
This free toolkit helps you spot it before a funder does. It covers the warning signs (your funding is steering your activities, your purpose is getting harder to explain, your decision-making has slipped) and a seven-question yes or no self-assessment for your board. Two or more no answers means you have a drift risk.
Written for trustees, directors and managers of charities, CICs and community groups. Plain English. No jargon. Part of the No-Nonsense Nonprofits series from Constance A. Grayson at theartofstupidity.com.
