Who it is for.
Every charity, CIC and community group should know what its governing document says, but most are old, were written by someone who has since left, and are rarely read. This checklist walks you through 15 simple checks under four headings: who you are, what you can do, whether it is properly signed and current, and whether it matches everything else. It also tells you what to do next if the answer is no. It is good housekeeping whether or not you are applying for funding.
This is general information, not legal advice. Check the current position with the regulator or a qualified adviser before relying on it.
