To do lists can become an overwhelmingly long list of to do’s and chores you have to do. They are this long long list of everything you need to remember and that can be a complete turn off. Why should you look at your list if all it does is grow and remind you of everything you need to do? It also doesn’t have the ability to pick and choose what is urgent, what is a priority and what is a good thing you need to do to treat yourself and wind down.
So YOU need to!

Turn your list into sections
- Must Do
- Would be Nice to do (if I have the time)
If your list is 10 items deep, but 6 of those are not essential, then split them up! Concentrate on the ones you really have to get done and don’t stress is out of the 6 non-essential tasks, only 2 get done, then it is no big deal. Stop stressing over it because your list includes those “would be nice if I have the time” items.
Prioritise the Musts, don’t stress over the non-essential tasks. Sounds so simple, but how often do you look at your day and wonder where time has flown – because you have been concentrating on the small stuff instead of your priorities?
