I read a twitter thread the other day about reading books, that they are essential to growth and how much of a good habit it is to get into. I really agree with this. Spending time in another world, discovering hidden characters and gems within works of fiction takes me to magical places and away from the humdrum bedlam and stress that life can be. Reading development books of every description and topic helps me learn new things every day. Delving into history books teaches me of my past and lessons that should not be forgotten.
At the same time, both my boys are severe dyslexic, the eldest with visual stress meaning that words move, jump, condense together, and make reading a hated chore to be avoided. The youngest, with a love of books, of reading and becoming lost in those worlds I adore also… and struggling so much to breakdown and decipher words. I know reading is not for everyone and I know how much it can become hated if it is a struggle. Audiobooks – something I cannot concentrate on at all are a saviour to the eldest, videos and YouTube a godsend in studies for the youngest. There is always a way.
I could not put it off any longer. The book is now slowly being read, slowly because of the predicted interruptions! I CANNOT put it off any longer. If not now, when?

So, what’s on your reading list right now?
